EN 55015 & 61547 / IEC CISPR 15 (Edition 9.0) & 61547 (Edition 3.0) Standard
55015; Limits and methods of measurement of radio disturbance characteristics of electrical lighting and similar equipment
61547; Electromagnetic Compatibility immunity requirements for equipment for general lighting purposes
CISPR 15 and IEC 61547 are Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) product family standards. Electrical lighting and similar product manufacturers design their products according to CISPR 15 and IEC 61547 standards and have them tested (EMC Test). CISPR 15 & IEC 61547 standards specify the emission and immunity tests requirements for electrical lighting and similar apparatus.
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Tests:
Electromagnetic Compatibility Tests (EMC Test) are aimed to operate any electrical and electronic device or system without being affected by and affecting other devices or systems in the environment. EMC Tests are examined in 2 general categories as immunity and emission.
Emission Tests specified in CISPR 15;
- Radiated Emission Test - CISPR 15 / EN 55015
- Conducted Emission Test - CISPR 15 / EN 55015
- Harmonics Test - EN 61000-3-2
- Flicker Test - EN 61000-3-3
Immunity Tests specified in IEC 61547;
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Test - EN 61000-4-2
- Radiated Immunity Test - EN 61000-4-3
- Electrical Fast Transients / Burst Test - EN 61000-4-4
- Surge Testi - EN 61000-4-5

Performance criterion A
During the test, no change of the luminous intensity shall be observed and the regulating control, if any, shall operate during the test as intended.
Performance criterion B
During the test, the luminous intensity may change to any value. After the test, the luminous intensity shall be restored to its inital value within 1 min (30 min for high pressure gas discharge lamps). Regulating controls need not function during the test, but after the test, the mode of the control shall be the same as before the test, provided that during the test no mode changing commands were given.
Performance criterion C
During and after the test, any change of the luminous intensity is allowed and the light source(s) may be extinguished. After the test, within 30 min, all functions shall return to normal, if necessary by temporary interruption of the mains supply and/or operating the regulating control.
